My name is Ed Hoefs and I was raised in Fox Lake, WI. I grew up listening to the radio and somehow I always knew I would be a DJ. One day I visited a radio station. To my shock and amazement, the DJ’s told me they actually got paid to do what they do. I thought they did it because it was fun!

So I went out and got my radio license (you had to have one of those back then) and started working as a radio DJ at WBEV in Beaver Dam WI when I was 18 years old. I then DJ’d for the old WKAU radio station in the Fox River Valley Area of Wisconsin that also had a mobile DJ service. That’s where my experience at entertaining for weddings began. Once again to my shock and amazement, they didn’t throw eggs at me. They actually seemed to like what I was doing.

Coming back to Beaver Dam I went to work DJ’ing at “The Lighthouse”, a very popular dance club of it’s time. Then I decided to start my own mobile DJ business and have been having a ball with it since, and still no one is throwing anything at me! I still, to this day, enjoy entertaining crowds at weddings and other functions.
